Man shut the fuck up. Just because something is trending and put on the spotlight and people acknowledge it (whether it be something simple or repeat blogging) doesn’t give you the “I’VE BEEN KNOWN THEM SINCE I WAS 3 YEARS OLD” award and gives you Dick points to call these people lame.

You aren’t a trendsetter, you’re not the first to hear of an artist, and you’re not the first person to ever buy their book. You’ve heard of them through your own personal experiences, and it just so happens that the mass media unfortunately gets their first glimpse of this person when they die.

So what, they haven’t heard of this person before their name was a trending topic on twitter or tumblr and they never heard/read/seen anything from this person while they were still alive.
